Points East Coastal Drive

Visual splendour

Scenic view of a white house with green roof by a lake, surrounded by trees and a rocky shoreline, with a brick building in the background.

The Points East Coastal Drive is a scenic roadway along Prince Edward Island's eastern geography, home to small towns, stunning landscapes and more than fifty golden beaches waiting to take your breath away. Capturing the splendour of one of Atlantic Canada's most profoundly beautiful regions demanded a website that put the visual experience first, and was as exciting to explore as the place itself.

Behind the beaches of the Points East Coastal Drive is a formidable team of tourism and content experts. What they asked for in a content management system (CMS) was genuine ease-of-use, the power to make their own changes, and flexible user types to accommodate administrators and partners alike. What they got was just that, and a website entirely under their control.

Media moguls

It's no surprise that the beauty bundled in each Points East Coastal Drive experience is being captured as both imagery and video. Locals and tourists alike have harnessed the natural wonder of the island, and shared it on #pointseastcoastaldrive. Doing that effort justice meant developing an intuitive but non-intrusive Instagram pull, as well as a custom-built cinema page that's true to the brand and gives YouTube a run for its money.
