Halifax Mural Festival
Proud Creative Partner Since 2023
Since 2023, we've been proud to support Halifax Mural Festival by helping tell the story behind the art. What started as a guerrilla marketing campaign and festival recap video has grown into an ongoing creative partnership focused on capturing the people, process, and energy that make the festival one of Halifax's most anticipated annual events.
Over the past four festivals, our role has evolved alongside the festival—creating promotional content, documenting artists at work, and building a growing library of photography and video that celebrates both the artwork and the community behind it.
Quinpool Road takeover
Guerrilla marketing is disruptive advertising at its finest. It's about creating memorable moments in unexpected places.
As Halifax Mural Festival prepared for its second year in 2023, we transformed Quinpool Road with our "Sandwich Board Takeover," wrapping sandwich boards throughout the district with bold festival posters that were impossible to ignore. The campaign built excitement, sparked conversation, and helped create buzz before the first mural was even painted.
It was the beginning of what has since grown into an ongoing creative partnership with Halifax Mural Festival.
Bringing the Festival to Life
In 2023, we produced the festival's first recap video, capturing the energy of artists transforming blank walls into public works of art. Following its success, we returned in 2024 to create another festival highlight film, continuing to showcase the creativity, collaboration, and atmosphere that define Halifax Mural Festival.
Every year brings new stories, new artists, and new murals—and we're proud to help preserve those moments.
Capturing the Artists
As our partnership continued, we identified an opportunity to provide something the festival—and its artists—could use long after the paint had dried.
Beginning in 2025, our focus expanded to professional event photography. Throughout the festival, we documented artists at work, completed murals, community events, and behind-the-scenes moments. Rather than simply delivering images to the festival organizers, we created and shared a complete online gallery so every participating artist could access and download professional photos of themselves and their work.
The result is a growing visual archive that not only supports the festival's marketing efforts, but also gives artists high-quality content they can use in their own portfolios, websites, and social media.
