Charcoal Marketing is on the hunt for a Front-End Developer/Designer to join its Design & Development team, supporting our Halifax, NS operations and company growth strategy. The individual will focus on all aspects of Charcoal’s development and digital strategy operations. The right candidate will be growth-oriented, with a knack for idea leadership and client-facing consultation. You must be willing to work closely with our Lead Developer/Designer to complete client projects.
Qualifications
- 1-2+ years experience developing consumer-facing web application interfaces.
- A strong grasp of best practices and modern tools used in user-centric interactive design.
- Experience implementing designs and executing on projects using modern front end languages including HTML5, CSS3, SCSS/SASS, JS, and Jquery.
- CMS experience in craftCMS and ExpressionEngine, or be willing to learn. An advanced knowledge of WordPress, Drupal, and Squarespace is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a team setting, and leveraging unique skill sets.
Responsibilities
- Development of a full spectrum of digital properties and assets including but not limited to websites, integrations, intranets, and online services.
- Pitching processes for prospective clients, and consultative meetings for current clients.
- Assisting in the management of ongoing service contracts.
- Maintaining project timelines, resources, updates, and communications in predetermined management suites and internal utilities.
- Have an open mind and be willing to learn new things.
